Julisa’s Story

Julisa went to church once in awhile, but never had a relationship with Jesus…until she went to Camp! In this video, Julisa shares:

“It was my first year at Camp Beechpoint when I started believing in Jesus and understood the meaning of him dying on the cross for my sins. Camp helped me disconnect from everything in my life, and focus on Jesus and the Word. While discussing the Word, I grew to understand and accept Jesus into my life.”

In November 2022, Julisa got baptized at The Brook in Chicago. We celebrate her new life in Christ!

Mia’s Story

Mia grew up in the Chicago suburbs. Her Mother was a Christian and her Father was an Atheist. At the age of 12, Mia had a lot of questions. She wasn’t sure what to believe. In this video, Mia shares:

“I went to Beechpoint with my friends and all my questions were answered. I was ready to believe.” She was now ready to give her life to Christ!

In November 2022, Mia got baptized at The Brook in Chicago. We celebrate her act of faith!

Ariana’s Story

Ariana’s Mom and siblings got baptized 6 years ago. At that time, Ariana wasn’t ready to submit her life to the Lord. In this video, Ariana shares:

“I finally accepted the Lord during one of my many Beechpoint Christian Summer Camp Experiences, and thought it was a good time to get away from reality and be focused on scripture.”

In November 2022, Ariana got baptized at The Brook in Chicago. We celebrate her faith decision!

LIT Testimonies

Our Leaders in Training (14-17yo) serve for 4-8 weeks over the Summer. From September – April, LITs are invited back to Camp for 3 LIT retreats, and to serve at 3 Winter Blast Camps.

After the last Winter Blast Camp, a Grandmother of one of our LITs sent us the following: “When is the next LIT weekend? {My grand-daughter} really enjoyed the weekend! She said that she feels so loved and accepted at Camp. We praise the Lord for all of you! Thank you!”

While applying for Summer 2023, another LIT said: “I haven’t really been to church… but I went to Beechpoint and I got to learn about Jesus and God while having a fun time”

Another LIT said: “Camp has done so much for me in these areas {growing as a leader, setting an example others can look up to, and growing in my faith}. Keep doing what you’ve been doing!”

TJ’s Story

In 2021, TJ came to Teen Camp. He shared that he loved Camp, but he didn’t care about Jesus. He left Camp an unbeliever.

In 2022, TJ came back and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior while at Camp!

When he got home he told his Mom that he wants to become an LIT in 2023!

Ben’s Story

Ben grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. Camp has walked alongside of Ben since he was a child. He started as a Camper, now serves as an LIT, and next summer he hopes to work at Camp. Ben shared:

“I have been here for 10 years… This Camp means so much to me. It has helped me out through my hard times.”

Anna’s Story

In and out of prison and rehab facilities, Anna’s parents have not been actively involved in her life. Anna came to Camp on scholarship as an 8-year-old. By God’s grace, she accepted Christ in 2017!

Returning home after a week of Camp has always been a challenge. In 2020, Anna shared,

“I opened up to God and asked Him to be there for me when I go home… After I did that I felt like weights were being lifted off my shoulder. It felt like it was easier to breathe, sleep, and think. That’s how God changed my life at Camp.”

Anna is now an LIT, and as such, she is in constant communication with our team. Her Grandmother told us that she is a light in their home! She even led her sister to Christ. Thanks be to God!

Mid-Summer Review

WE LIVE BY FAITH:

The cost of year-round ministry is budgeted at $750,000 for 2023. Given that 75% of our Campers come on scholarship, the majority of our budget is dependent on the generosity of God’s people. We have faith that God will provide!

Is God inspiring you to partner with us in ministry through a one-time or monthly donation?

Note: Some of the Camper’s names have been changed to protect their identity.
